Under sunny skies and warm temperatures, over a thousand students from Villa Park High School gathered on Taft Avenue in front of the school to watch FADD and the Orange County Fire Authority recreate an actual drinking and driving accident involving teenagers.

Members of the Villa Park student body participated in the accident recreation, playing the roles of the accident victims, the deceased and the drunk driver.

Watching the FADD recreation along with the students were officials from Villa Park High School, the City Manager of Villa Park, Ken Domer and the Mayor of Villa Park, Brad E. Reese, who is also a Reserve Fire Captain with the Orange County Fire Authority. Many parents of the students also gathered on the street to watch the demonstration.

The students watched intently as the mock accident unfolded in front of their eyes with the end result being the death of two of their classmates. Many students could even be seen crying in the crowd due to the realistically staged message of mock dui crash.
